From Passion to Purpose
The Story of Oceanika Diving Club
Oceanika Diving Club was born from the same spirit that drives the Oceanika NGO (www.oceanika.ong ) , which since 2023 has been working across the Indian Ocean to protect coral reefs and recover drifting Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs) abandoned by the tuna industry. www.oceanika.ong
Each year, tens of thousands of these devices are released into the ocean. Many end up stranded on plateaus and coral reefs, where they tear through fragile habitats and endanger marine biodiversity.
The club was created as a direct extension of our NGO, giving purpose to every dive and meaning to every descent.
Through Oceanika Diving Club, part of the resources from each dive directly funds our environmental missions — the recovery of stranded FADs, coral restoration, and education initiatives for local communities.
When you dive with us, you don’t just explore the ocean — you help protect it.
Every dive supports action. Every bubble rebuilds life beneath the waves.
